Custom Design & Revision Policy

Customization, Design Preview & Revision Policy

Please read this policy carefully before placing your order. By completing your purchase, you acknowledge and agree to the customization scope, revision limits, design fees, and cancellation terms stated below.

1. Predesigned Personalized Products

Most products in our store are created from a predesigned template.

“Custom” or “personalized” means that we customize only the options specifically offered in the listing, such as:

  • Name or wording
  • School, college, team, city, or theme
  • Graduation year
  • Listed color options
  • Limited replacement of specified elements
  • Other customization options clearly stated on the product page

A predesigned product is not a fully commissioned design service.

Unless specifically included in the listing, customers may not individually select, replace, direct, or rearrange every icon, box, image, building, character, object, background element, or section of the design.

The original layout, artistic direction, composition, style, and overall structure remain at our discretion.

2. Full Custom Design Requests

A request may be classified as a full custom design when it requires substantial work beyond the original template, including but not limited to:

  • Replacing a large number of existing elements
  • Selecting the content of each individual box or section
  • Directing the exact placement of multiple images
  • Adding multiple personal photos, business logos, or custom graphics
  • Rebuilding the composition or layout
  • Creating a new concept from scratch
  • Combining multiple unrelated themes
  • Repeatedly rearranging previously approved elements
  • Requesting extensive changes after the original instructions have been completed
  • Turning a predesigned template into a customer-directed commissioned artwork

Full custom design work is not included in the standard product price unless the listing specifically states otherwise.

We may provide a separate design quote before continuing. We are not obligated to convert a predesigned order into a full custom design project.

3. Submit All Instructions at the Time of Purchase

All names, wording, photos, logos, colors, school information, placement requests, and other design instructions must be submitted together when the order is placed.

Information or requests submitted after design work has started may:

  • Not be included in the first preview
  • Require an additional revision fee
  • Require a custom design fee
  • Delay production
  • Be declined if they substantially change the original scope

Customers are responsible for ensuring that all submitted information is complete, accurate, and final.

4. Design Preview

When a design preview is included, we will provide:

First Preview:
The initial design based on the information submitted with the order.

Second Preview:
One reasonable revision round is included at no additional charge.

A revision round means one consolidated list of reasonable changes submitted at the same time. Multiple separate messages, new requests sent at different times, or additional instructions submitted after revisions begin may be treated as separate revision rounds.

Not every personalized product includes a preview. Products involving only a name, date, or simple wording change may be produced as displayed in the listing without a preview.

5. What Is Considered a Reasonable Revision?

Reasonable revisions may include:

  • Correcting wording
  • Adjusting a name or date
  • Minor color adjustments
  • Replacing one or two elements when permitted
  • Minor sizing or placement adjustments
  • Correcting an error made by our designer

Reasonable revisions do not include:

  • Changing the entire concept
  • Replacing most of the design
  • Selecting or replacing dozens of individual elements
  • Adding a large number of new personal images
  • Rebuilding the layout
  • Requesting a different design style
  • Starting over with a new theme
  • Repeatedly changing previously requested placements
  • Requesting multiple versions to compare
  • Reversing previously approved instructions
  • Continuing revisions until every individual detail matches a customer-created layout

Such requests may require an additional fee or may be declined.

6. Additional Revision Fees

After the included revision round, additional revisions are charged at $5 per revision round, unless the requested changes require more extensive design work.

Major changes, new concepts, full redesigns, or requests outside the original scope will be quoted separately.

Payment for additional design work must be completed before the next revision is prepared.

Paying an additional revision fee does not guarantee that every requested change can be accommodated. We reserve the right to decline requests that are technically impractical, inconsistent with our design style, legally restricted, or excessively time-consuming.

7. Consolidated Revision Requests

Customers must send all revision instructions in one clear, complete message.

Requests sent one at a time over multiple messages create additional design work and may be charged as separate revision rounds.

Statements such as “I may have more changes later,” “let me review each section separately,” or “I want to approve every box one by one” are not included in the standard revision process.

8. Customer-Supplied Photos and Logos

Customer-supplied photos, logos, graphics, and artwork must be:

  • High enough quality for printing
  • Submitted in the correct format
  • Legally owned or authorized for use
  • Free from unauthorized copyrighted or trademarked content

We are not responsible for poor print quality caused by low-resolution, blurry, cropped, compressed, or otherwise unsuitable customer files.

Adding customer-supplied images or logos may require an additional design fee, especially when background removal, restoration, recoloring, redrawing, extensive placement work, or multiple revisions are required.

The customer is responsible for obtaining permission to use all submitted logos, photographs, artwork, trademarks, and copyrighted materials.

9. Proofreading Responsibility

Customers are responsible for carefully reviewing all previews before approval, including:

  • Names
  • Spelling
  • Dates
  • School names
  • Graduation years
  • Quotes
  • Colors
  • Image placement
  • Photo selection
  • Overall design details

Once a preview is approved, the product will be made according to the approved proof.

We are not responsible for customer-approved errors.

Changes requested after approval may not be possible. When possible, they may require an additional fee and may delay production.

10. Preview Response Deadline

Customers must approve the preview or submit revisions within 2 business days.

If no response is received within that time, we may proceed using the most recent preview in order to avoid further production delays.

Failure to respond does not pause the estimated production timeline indefinitely.

11. Design Style and Creative Discretion

Our products are created in the artistic style shown in our store.

By ordering, the customer authorizes our designer to make reasonable creative decisions regarding:

  • Composition
  • Spacing
  • Scale
  • Visual balance
  • Typography
  • Supporting elements
  • Decorative fillers
  • Color harmony
  • Image placement

Reference photos and customer sketches are treated as guidance unless the order specifically includes exact reproduction services.

A request to “make it exactly like my idea” does not automatically convert a predesigned product into unlimited customer-directed design work.

12. Satisfaction Guarantee

Our satisfaction guarantee means that we will:

  • Correct mistakes made by us
  • Correct production defects
  • Make reasonable adjustments within the original scope of the product purchased
  • Produce the item according to the approved design

The satisfaction guarantee does not include:

  • Unlimited revisions
  • Unlimited design labor
  • Repeated concept changes
  • A complete redesign at no additional cost
  • Customer-directed selection of every individual element
  • Multiple completed versions for comparison
  • Changes outside the listing’s stated customization options
  • Changes requested after final approval or production has started

Satisfaction is evaluated based on whether the product matches the listing, submitted order details, and approved proof—not whether unlimited changes were provided.

13. Cancellation After Design Work Begins

Because design work requires time and labor, cancellations are subject to the following terms:

  • Before design work begins: cancellation may be approved
  • After the first preview has been created or sent: a $15 design fee will be deducted from the refund
  • After final approval or production begins: the order cannot be canceled
  • After the personalized product has been completed or shipped: the order cannot be canceled or refunded

Custom and personalized products are created specifically for the customer and cannot be resold.

14. Production Begins After Approval

Once the customer approves the design, the order is considered final and may immediately enter production.

After production begins:

  • Wording cannot be changed
  • Images cannot be replaced
  • Layout changes cannot be made
  • The shipping address may no longer be editable
  • Cancellation is not available

A request sent after approval does not guarantee that production can be stopped.

15. Right to Decline or Cancel Service

We reserve the right to decline additional revisions, cancel an order, or discontinue design services when:

  • The requested scope substantially exceeds the product purchased
  • The customer attempts to convert a predesigned product into a full custom project without paying the applicable fee
  • Instructions are repeatedly changed or contradicted
  • Previously approved work is repeatedly reopened
  • The customer demands unlimited revisions
  • The customer requests unauthorized copyrighted or trademarked content
  • The customer uses abusive, threatening, harassing, or disrespectful language
  • The project is no longer reasonably achievable within the original price, timeline, or product scope
  • The customer and designer are unable to reach a workable design direction

When an order is canceled after design work has begun, completed design work and applicable design fees are nonrefundable.

16. No Unlimited Revision Agreement

The purchase price covers the physical product, the customization specifically described in the listing, and the stated number of revisions.

It does not purchase unlimited access to a designer or unlimited revisions until the customer considers every detail perfect.

Additional requests require additional time and may require additional payment.

17. Agreement to Policy

By placing an order, submitting customization information, or approving a preview, the customer confirms that they have read and accepted this policy.

Requests made through email, chat, order notes, social media, or any other communication channel remain subject to the same policy.
